I dare you to show up for your follow up visit in a black Fredrick’s of Hollywood peek-a-boo bra with red ribbon trimming. Cardiac cath? It sounds scary but it’s a piece ‘o cake. You’ll be awake and able to watch the television screen. They’ll give you a numbing shot in your thigh and won’t be able to feel them feed the tiny tiny wire up your vein. They’ll take lots of pretty pictures and then be done. I’m sure you’re too young for coronary artery disease or any other weird things they’re looking for. Still - ask them for valium before the procedure just for the “I don’t give a shit what the hell you do with me” feeling. Tell them you have panic attacks and don’t want to start screaming during the procedure. *thumbs up*

Hey…the cardiac cath thing, I had it myself in 2003. I was 25. It’s wasn’t too bad, you won’t feel anything really…but they do inject you with a dye that gives you this head to toe feeling like you just pissed yourself. I was all worried and got this weird look on my face and the nurse was like “You didn’t pee, it’s just the body reaction to the dye.” Then the doctor laughed. Yay, me.
