I just may post a whole fucking lot today, because the doctor put me back on the speedy medication, and now he has me taking double the amount I was on before.LOOK OUT, WORLD, HERE I COME. IF I COULD DRIVE, YOU’D BE IN FOR IT.

I could run a marathon if I wouldn’t fall over.
Instead, I blog a lot.
That’s so very sad.
Anyway. I decided that when I got this SSI backpay I would make one totally frivolous purchase, something that I really didn’t need, but maybe really, really wanted. Most of the money is going into investments, but I thought, why not treat myself to a little something?
No, not a sex slave, you dirty little people.
What I’m about to admit is going to make me a total fucking hypocrite, because for years I have railed on and on about the Macintosh-addicted yuppie assholes and their iCrap, people who run run run to the store every time the latest little white iToy is released, people who have totally cut themselves off from society by wearing those ugly white headphones morning, noon, and night; and now, now I must confess to you my dark, dirty little secret…
…I bought an iPod.
I bought a shiny black iPod, and I fucking love it.
I also bought the home docking station with speakers and subwoofer, the leather case, red headphones (I still hate those white headphones), and a sports band, should I actually ever be healthy enough to leave my house and go walking or biking.
I have become an iAddict, sitting on iTunes all fucking day, uploading all my CDs and my completely legally obtained MP3s (ahem), and at night I sit in my cave and listen to my tunes, completely awed by the fact that I don’t have to change CDs or even push fucking buttons because it’s all in this awesome little wheel thingy, how fucking cool, and during the day I have this awesome little stereo deal that plays every song I own.
And it holds videos, so I can upload Dave Chappelle.
And I can put pictures on it.
I am smitten.
I could not be more pleased with this thing if it did my laundry and gave me multiple orgasms.
Forgive me, fellow iJunkies. I had no idea.

I didn’t get an iPod, but I did get a 40GB MP3 player, and I hear you. I love love love it. (Well, I loved it after several curse-filled hours of trying to get it to work correctly. After a firmware upgrade, though, it’s been love love love all the way.) How cool is it to have all your albums in one little thing the size of a deck of cards? I like playing it on shuffle, sometimes it’ll play a string of songs I would never have thought of combining, but are PERFECT when you hear them one after another.

ahhh….for more perfectly legal (really they are) and cheap mp3 check out allofmp3 dot com. you do buy the songs, but you pay 2 cents per mb - yes 2 cents - so an entire of album of, oh say Queen is $1.75.

I too am an iPod convert! Isn’t it terrible? You swear and swear that you’ll never like them, but oy…then you get sucked in. Also, the iTunes music store has changed my life - to the tune of like $100 a month. Also also, Justin Timberlake’s new album…you must listen!
