All Systems Stop.

I had a nice, long stretch of vertical bliss for a while there - no passing out, few back problems, and generally pretty fair health as far I’m concerned; but Thursday set off some sort of shitstorm that has left me feeling like a massive hurricane is raging within my head.
The dizzy spells come fast and without warning and are so strong that I feel like gravitational pull has increased and that I am being drawn into the floor, head-first.
I slept through most of Thanksgiving, having eaten carpet twice before our guests arrived, bruising some ribs, and jacking up my knee pretty painfully. I was almost ready to go to the emergency room, so spinny was my head, but then I remembered that going to the emergency room on a holiday or during a weekend is right up there with trying to calmly stroll in and out of Toys ‘R’ Us the day after Thanksgiving. It ain’t happening.
I figured I’d tough it out until Monday, and I am still biting my lip until Monday arrives and I can call my doctor.
If my doctor does not immediately take my phone call or agree to see me Monday morning, I think I’m going to the ER. It’s been a pretty hairy weekend.
During one of the many falls I took this weekend, I managed to further injure my neck, and the slipped disc that was already complaining is now fucking screaming and kicking like a toddler having a particularly gruesome tantrum. Last night I pretty much just laid on the sofa and bawled until multiple muscle relaxers and Vicodin kicked in, and I am not a bawler.
I am, however, a shot-caller.
I thought labor pains hurt. I’m about ready to change my mind about that and say that they were sissy little tittybaby pains. This neck shit is fucking ridiculous. I was ready to go and lie down in the street last night in hopes that a truck might roll over my neck, paralyze me, and thereby put me out of my misery.
Frankly, I’m still considering it. If you’re rolling through the south side and you hear a loud “clunk”, just keep going.
The muscle relaxers and painkillers are unfortunately making my blood pressure drop even more, making the dizzy spells worse, so at this point I can’t get up at all without falling directly over.
All of this seems to have come out of absolutely nowhere. I was doing really well - even better without a lot of the seizure medication I was on, so I have no fucking clue what caused this sudden turn for the worse.
Hopefully this will all be sorted out tomorrow.
Until then, I’ll be the one on the couch with the stiff neck and the dilated eyes who looks as if she’s not quite sure where she is.

I got worried about you when you didn’t update for a few days. I’m sorry you’re having such a rough time. Would it help if I made you jumpsuit out of bubble wrap complete with hoodie? Think of the cool sounds it would make when you fell and it would keep you from getting bruised or hurting your neck. Plus you could pop your thighs while you were bored watching television. Jen is languishing in the hospital - in limbo. They are working at a snail’s pace to test and doctor her up. She hopes to get home in the next week or two (not even kidding, wish I were).

Thank God “One who knows” left us all an update on what is happening in your world right now. SO sorry that you are stuck in the hospital getting tested and being awakened at all hours of the day and night by nurses, doubtless being poked and prodded by those same nurses with a sadistic bent. Please let this trip to the hospital result in someone FINALLY getting you on the road to stereo vision and no more surprise trips to the floor in a heap.
We all want to wish you a quick recovery and return to your home. I hope the J-Man is hanging in there alright too and that he is able to visit you often in the hospital. He sounds like a wonderful son and I am glad that he is in your life.
