Boobies! But Not Mine! Yay!

Last night Bullshit and I went to a very excellent burlesque show that was a benefit for TPAN. Good, good times, my friends. If you are ever in the area and have the opportunity to see this excellent show, I highly recommend it.
I love me some burlesque.
Also, if you are anywhere within driving, train, or hell, even flying distance of Chicago, you must, must attend the extravaganza that is the Sissy Butch Brothers’ production of the Gurlesque Burlesque which is playing on Saturday at the Vic Theater. I am not blowing smoke up your lovely little heinie when I tell you that it will be one of the most enjoyable nights you will have, staring at dancing naked ladies notwithstanding.
This will be my fourth show, assuming Bullshit and I make it back from the airport in time to get in (read: hell or high water), and it has fast became one of my Most Favorite Things, Ever. There are stripteases. There are skits that would make your drunk uncle Larry blush. There are amazing artsy performers that will blow your mind. And, this year, there is Margaret Fucking Cho.
Get yo’ tickets while you can, because they are sure to sell out with the quickness.
Don’t say that I didn’t warn you that you will be a sad, sad panda if you don’t go.
Tomorrow I am leaving for sunny Arizona, and although I will probably burn to a crisp or possibly melt, I am very excited both because I have never been there and because the house Bullshit’s parents have rented has a hot tub and I plan to simmer in the thing all week long, soothing my aching back and neck.
I long for a hot tub in the worst way. Hot tubs make my spine happy.
Bullshit’s mother has also booked massages for us, which makes me think that I might “lose” my plane ticket and stay an extra week. I mean, hell.
This is all very exciting. There may be some Ultimate Fighting Championship-style carnage by the fourth day or so when I have had to listen to Bullshit snore and he has had to listen to me grind my teeth for several consecutive nights, but hopefully neither of us will break anything vital or dislodge any pretty facial bones.
I will try to update at some point between lounging in the hot tub, soaking in the sunshine, and being ridiculously warm.
And gloating, of course. There is also the gloating.
