Light A Fire.

I need to get motivated. I’ve fallen way too deeply into the sickbed during the past few months, and it’s getting to be downright ridiculous. I’ve been sleeping too much, eating too much, not exercising at all, and generally just being a Sofa Spud.
Granted, most of the time I’ve been feeling pretty poorly, but it’s getting to the point in which I feel that the need to shower or get dressed is completely unnecessary, and that’s just depressing and gross.
I’ve got to get off of my fat ass and find something constructive to do, even if that just means forcing myself to get up a little earlier and make myself presentable.
I keep thinking about a second little book, but I’m on the fence. I would rather pour my energies into something like writing a novel than cranking out another book of journal excerpts and little blurbs.
Either way, I need to get moving before I take root in the carpet. I feel stagnant and sluggish and like a mousy old hausfrau. I need exercise.
I do believe that coffee is in order. Coffee, and a self-kick in the ass.

I get that way almost every Saturday. Just stagnant and unwilling to get my ass off the couch. Be it exhaustion, or whatever is ailing me- I just go from one horizontal surface to another. I’m not human until about 6PM!!

I went through a faze that was just about the same prior to finding out i have kidney disease…I would goto work then come home and do nothing but sleep till I needed to work again..
there are quite a few exercises a person can do with limited mobility.. I have a set of peddles i use when i am in the chair at the dialysis center it might not make me a much slimmer person but it does improve circulation…

I know how you feel, I was on disability for January and part of February and I didn’t bathe (often) and basically rotated from the bed to the couch and back to bed. I actually ran out of things to watch on Tivo. Very sad.
Have you heard of T-tapp? She has a 15 minute work out video that for people with disabilities. I have it and really love it, you do it all standing and there’s no jumping around - just a lot of clenching. I have her book as a .pdf file if you’d like me to e-mail it to you. Just let me know!

Is it still possible to get a copy of the first book you did? I remember when you finished it, but I didn’t get around to buying a copy then. And since its 12:20 am and I have a habit of turning to you for advice anyway, what do you do after getting super skinny (read: working out in a 24 hour gym five hours a night because you are homeless and working out is safer than riding the subway all night) to suddenly doing nothing but sitting on your ass procrastinating (ie not studying) and suddenly (although not really) you find your body has expanded to what seem like mammoth proportions. I’m trying to blame too much diet coke with lime for the fact that my stomach would convince the random passerby that I am five months pregnant, and the dryer for why my pants are tighter, but no such luck. I know its stupid, but I miss my bones, my ribs especially and it’s making me feel stupid and nuts at the same time.
