Off I Go To The Land Of Snow.

I’m leaving for Green Bay tomorrow and am officially behind schedule and freaked out. Packing? I don’t think so!
I’m going back to the eye doctor today to check on the eye ulcers, which I don’t suppose are any better given the fact that the pain is still there and the blurriness seems to be worse, but that could just be from the medication. Here’s hoping. I’m getting pretty sick of wearing glasses and going sans eye makeup but at least I can now call myself a natural woman.
Friends who are going to Green Bay are really going to see one hell of a Jen - no makeup, glasses, and fat. Let’s hear it for the downward spiral.
I’m also going to wear flannel shirts the whole fucking time, stop shaving my armpits, and sing about trees.

In other news, it is frosty cold. I saw my breath this morning and it said, “You’re going NORTH? IDIOT.”
I can’t wait.
Weetabix whips up one hell of a weekend, and I for one, am due for a vacation full of fun and friends. I know that Bullshit is, too, after two grueling weeks of jury duty.

Have a FANTASTIC time in Green Bay! I wish I could be there in person but I’ll be there in spirit. And, don’t worry, everyone is going to be so thrilled to see you they won’t give one wit about your glasses, flannel shirts, etc. Everybody’s still bummed they didn’t see you last year due to your dreaded sickness. Now go and make up for it this year. Have a couple of beers for me! Safe traveling.

Go. Have fun. Drink lots of warm thinks to stave off the cold (a Winter Warmer is hot cocoa with a slug of Grand Marnier and a top of whipped cream — mmmm). Say hello to the cheeseheads for me (or as my texan friend calls it, Baja Canada).
