A Little Bit of Soap.

January 29th, 2008 by trancejen

You know, I’m as girly (I loathe the connotations of that word, as if I should be wearing a pink flowered dress and white patent leather Mary Janes - still, I could not think of one to better suit my purpose) as the next girl and I like “product” too.

Still, I sometimes long for the days in which shampoo was just shampoo and soap was just soap and there was no cactus flower citrus rosemary spearmint caramel creme chocolate cappuccino lemon whatgrass safflower grapefruit blue malva apple juniper ginger salsa saffron bayleaf lavender grapeseed sunflower orchid butter cinnamon cherry balsam blackcurrant honey almond licorice brown sugar white tea aloe vera vanilla pear raspberry persimmon pomegranate peppermint-scented foof, and I had never heard of jojoba.

Sometimes you just want a nice bar of plain old Ivory soap.

Happy Tuesday.

All that said, I’m dying to know what you think about the Clinique moisturizer that you won in Weetabix’s raffle. The description made it sound like all that and a bag of SPF 25 chips and being a member of the pale sisterhood I’m always looking out for a nice moisturizer with a high SPF rating.

I haven’t used it yet! I tend to save the good moisturizer for when I’m going “out”, and I’ve been, well, “in”. I am going to try it this week and I will let you know!

Plain old Ivory soap is all we’ve got in the shower. I actually can’t stand most of the frou-frou body washes because the scents interfere with my perfume.

I’ve been an Ivory girl for years and have always loved it. Sometimes I use Kiss My Face aloe and green tea soap which I also like. Most recently, I tried Ivory with Aloe and I love it! It’s like the best of both worlds — the purity of ivory which just a hint of scent.

I can’t decide if I really hate all that scented shizz, or if I just pretend to hate it because I’m scared to use it.
